The BioGeneius competition is a very famous and challenging biological science competition. New Jersey doesn’t have a local cohort for entering the competition, and I submitted to the at-large competition. One of the questions they ask participants to answer is very interesting:

This project builds a novel computational model for direct usage by drug developers, combining latest deep neural network technologies to predict whether an existing drug is effective to treat new diseases such as COVID-19. The model reached higher accuracy than published methods.
